Nigeria’s national blockchain policy, launched by former President Muhammad Buhari in May, set out to create a “Digital Nigeria” built on the foundations of blockchain technology. However, to truly realize this vision, the government must act swiftly in implementing supportive regulations for blockchain development, according to industry experts in the country.
While the policy was a positive step forward, Obinna Iwuno, the president of the Stakeholders in Blockchain Association of Nigeria (SiBAN), believes that more needs to be done.
