Malaysia’s Digital Economy

In an era defined by the relentless march of digital transformation, Malaysia has ascended as a beacon of progress in the global digital economy, achieving significant milestones in 2023. 

With the digital sector making a significant contribution of 23.2% to the nation’s GDP, the digital economy is poised to further strengthen its impact, projected to contribute 25.5% to Malaysia’s GDP by 2025 and create approximately 500,000 job opportunities. The country has facilitated RM110 billion in digital opportunities, almost double the target under the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint.
