Digital Economy Thrives in Dubai

Last year, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy unveiled that the collective market value of the nine (MNCs) it had attracted to the city surpassed AED 304 billion, as the city endeavored to lure digital investment and specialized talent in the digital domain. His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, highlighted the chamber’s commitment to the targets outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), striving to enhance the digital business environment through strategic initiatives.

The chamber’s efforts in attracting and retaining foreign investment in the digital economy were emphasized, with its pro-investment policies proving fruitful despite regional geopolitical challenges. Among the initiatives launched by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy was the ‘Create Apps in Dubai’ program, aimed at tripling the number of app developers by 2025. Additionally, the chamber inaugurated the Emirati Training Academy and hosted the ‘App Olympics’ competition as part of its broader objectives.
