Kyrgyzstan’s Digitalization

The Kyrgyzstan government’s commitment to advancing digitalization takes center stage in its 2024 budget, with 600 mn soms ($6.7 mn) earmarked for digital initiatives. The Ministry of Finance disclosed this allocation, marking a significant increase of 100 mn soms ($1.1 mn) compared to previous years.

Over the period from 2019 to 2023, Kyrgyzstan allocated a total of 2.5 bn soms ($28 mn) towards the digital economy, with funds distributed among various government bodies. Notably, this investment facilitated the implementation of 197 events in e-governance, with an additional 19 initiatives nearing completion.
