Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif led the signing of various agreements between Pakistan and China, spanning agriculture, logistics, and digital and green economies. These accords, part of Sharif’s visit to China from June 4-8, aim to bolster foreign direct investment and enhance bilateral cooperation. Amid efforts to upgrade the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), both nations emphasized the significance of digital economy cooperation. The agreements, signed by Pakistan’s Board of Investment (BoI) and Chinese entities, reflect the growing synergy between their respective government and digital sectors.
In line with China’s global economic outreach and Pakistan’s welcoming business environment, Sharif highlighted opportunities for Chinese businesses in Pakistan. The agreements underscore the strategic alignment between the nations’ economic agendas and their commitment to fostering digital innovation and sustainable development through bilateral collaboration.
