The Indian government has launched a Digital Luggage Locker facility at Tiruchi railway junction, enhancing passenger amenities through self-operated lockers provided by Cloaktech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Security is ensured via phone number verification and CCTV surveillance, with only digital payments accepted to prevent illegal activities.
Similar facilities are planned for other stations like Villupuram, Thanjavur, Madurai, Rameswaram, and Tiruvannamalai. This initiative aligns with India’s modernization efforts for railway stations, with existing operations in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hubli, Hyderabad, and Tirupati, showcasing the government’s commitment to digital solutions for public service enhancement.
