Trans-Caspian Transport Hub

The government of Astana launched a platform for the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) to enhance its sustainability and competitiveness. It aims to coordinate stakeholders, including Central Asian states and the EU, to develop and monitor projects along the route, focusing on digital infrastructure and economic growth.

The platform, part of the EU’s Global Gateway strategy, seeks to mobilize investments for the corridor’s development, estimating a need of €18.5 billion. Private sector engagement is crucial, with plans to develop an engagement strategy by year-end. The EU’s support underscores its commitment to deepening ties with Central Asia, promoting stability, economic development, and digitalization.
