Philippine Digital ID Launch

The Philippine government, through the Philippine Statistics Authority and the Department of Information and Communication Technology, has launched a digital national ID for streamlined identification in both government and private transactions. Accessible via computers or smartphones, the digital ID offers real-time verification and facial recognition through the National ID eVerify and National ID Check platforms, enhancing efficiency and reducing leakages in public spending.

With millions registered under the system, the digital ID aims to bridge the gap in ID distribution, ultimately improving service delivery and facilitating transactions for Filipinos nationwide.
