Citizens’ and Foreigners’ Protection

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif affirmed Pakistan’s priority of protecting citizens and foreigners during a Lahore meeting. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to modernizing security, the session reviewed Islamabad’s projects, including the Islamabad Model Jail and Safe City initiatives. Sharif directed swift completion of the jail, incorporating digital surveillance and a training institute. He highlighted the role of the Special Protection Unit and forensic lab in enhancing security standards.

The meeting, attended by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and officials, underscored merit-based recruitment and international standardization in security practices, aligning with digital advancements to ensure robust protection and law enforcement.
