Government’s Cybersecurity Push for Healthcare

The Australian federal government’s recent $6.4 million investment aims to bolster cybersecurity in Australia’s healthcare sector through a new Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (ISAC). Modeled after successful frameworks in the financial and critical infrastructure sectors, this initiative focuses on digital information-sharing, cyber threat prevention, and response strategies. 

By enhancing collaboration and cyber defenses, the government seeks to address vulnerabilities in the healthcare sector, as part of a broader digital strategy to protect critical services and promote robust cybersecurity across high-risk sectors.
