MoU between Australia and EU

Earlier this year, Australia and the European Union (EU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a bilateral partnership to cooperate on sustainable critical and strategic minerals. 
Under the MOU, the EU will diversify its supplies of materials necessary for the clean energy and digital transitions, whilst contributing to the development of Australia’s domestic critical minerals sector. 

The MOU addresses the entire life cycle for critical and strategic minerals projects including exploration, extraction, processing, refining, recycling and processing of mining waste.
