UK to Introduce Cyber Security and Resilience Bill

The UK Government plans to introduce a Cyber Security and Resilience Bill to Parliament, addressing escalating threats to critical national infrastructure (CNI) such as water, power, and healthcare services. This legislation aims to enhance protection against rising cyber threats, including ransomware and state-aligned actors, by strengthening regulatory frameworks and improving resilience measures.

The bill will make it harder for malicious entities to exploit vulnerabilities and will support regulators in enforcing stronger cybersecurity standards. This legislative move represents a significant step towards bolstering the UK’s digital security infrastructure in response to growing cyber challenges.
