Bahamas’ Digital Health Progress

The Bahamas Government, through the Ministry of Health and Wellness, has advanced its Information Systems for Health (IS4H) initiative by launching pilot programs to test a new digital health information exchange. This includes applications like the Bahamas National Patient Portal and PatientPay, which aim to enhance healthcare efficiency and decision-making. 

The digital architecture, supported by the Pan American Health Organization and the Inter-American Development Bank, is designed to integrate health systems for a seamless, secure exchange, fostering better health outcomes and public policy.
