Ongoing slow internet in Pakistan is severely impacting the digital economy, affecting freelancers, IT companies, and everyday users. Disruptions are hindering communication for professionals, students, and small traders, leading to substantial daily losses. The Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) has urged the government to address these issues urgently, as continued instability threatens to undermine the country’s growing freelancing industry, which generated $350 million last fiscal year.
The government’s role is crucial in resolving these internet issues to support the digital economy and maintain Pakistan’s standing in global freelancing.
