Mastercard Acquires Cybersecurity Firm

Mastercard is set to acquire Recorded Future, a leading global threat intelligence company, for $2.65 billion. This move aims to enhance digital security across the payments ecosystem by leveraging Recorded Future’s advanced threat intelligence and AI capabilities. Governments and businesses, including over 45 governments and more than 50% of Fortune 100 companies, will benefit from expanded cybersecurity insights and real-time threat detection. 

The acquisition underscores the growing need for comprehensive cyber defense as digital threats escalate, with the collaboration expected to bolster Mastercard’s fraud prevention and cybersecurity services while offering Recorded Future greater global growth opportunities.
