Bosnia’s Digital ID Initiative

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Government, in collaboration with European Union initiatives, is developing a digital ID wallet to modernize identification processes. The wallet will enable secure electronic identification, authentication, and digital document signing, enhancing access to public and private services. This effort aligns with Bosnia’s integration into the EU digital ecosystem, supporting digital transformation.

The platform will store credentials such as identity documents and driver’s licenses, improving access to government services like tax filing and social security. This digital infrastructure aims to streamline services and enhance Bosnia’s competitiveness in the European digital economy.
