The Indian Government is enhancing citizen engagement through DigiLocker, its flagship e-governance platform, which simplifies access to essential services. Recently, the India Government hosted a live session titled ‘Ask Our Experts’ that allowed citizens to interact directly with experts, clarifying the functionalities and benefits of the platform. This initiative aims to demystify key Digital India projects, promoting transparency and accessibility.
The integration of the UMANG app with DigiLocker further streamlines service access, enabling citizens to manage multiple services seamlessly. As part of the India Government’s Digital India Infrastructure, DigiLocker offers secure cloud storage for documents, currently hosting around 6.75 billion documents for 300 million users, significantly improving citizen convenience and efficiency.
