The Sindh government has decided to launch several initiatives to combat the challenges posed by climate change. These include providing awareness and training to farmers; constructing new watercourses, introducing smart subsidies, solar lift pumping, laser land levelling, crop reporting, and digitizing agricultural marketing.

As per officials, 100,000 acres will be covered under smart subsidies, and 14,575 farmers, including women farm workers, will receive training and awareness to tackle climate change. The training will focus on efficient water use, urea fertilizer application, improving agricultural productivity and optimal seed usage.
