Indore Launches Smart Buses

India’s city Indore has launched a cutting-edge pilot project, incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) and teagnostics in five iBuses. This innovative system closely monitors drivers’ behavior, ensuring safer and more efficient travel for passengers. The project aims to transform the public transport experience in Indore. It’s an exciting step towards smarter transportation.

The AI-powered system sends alerts to the control room and bus operator if a driver exhibits distracted behavior, such as talking on the phone or yawning frequently. This technology has been successfully used in Delhi’s railway system and has been adapted for public transport in Indore. If the pilot project proves successful, it will be implemented on a larger scale, improving public transport services across the city.
