Singapore’s Open Source Practices

Singapore’s Open Government Products (OGP) and the Digital Public Goods Alliance (DPGA) are revolutionizing the way governments work together to solve public problems. By open-sourcing products, governments can pool their resources and learn from each other. A great example of this is FormSG, a form builder tool developed by the Singapore government that was adopted by Cambodia and Sri Lanka, with both countries customizing it to suit their needs.

The collaboration between OGP and DPGA is just the beginning. With Singapore joining the DPGA, the country aims to share its digital public goods with other nations, promoting a culture of openness and collaboration in the digital government space.
