The Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has partnered with Action Pour Les Enfants to launch the ‘Promoting Internet Safety in Education’ project. This initiative aims to promote child online safety by integrating lessons on recognizing and reporting online threats into school curricula. The project will also provide training for teachers and resources for educational institutions. It involves collaboration with key stakeholders to foster a safer digital environment.
The project’s initial phase will focus on seven provinces, with plans for expansion based on its success. The initiative aligns with national education strategies and ensures sustainability by equipping educators and students with online safety tools. A comprehensive evaluation will be conducted after three years to assess the project’s impact. This effort underscores the importance of empowering communities to prevent and report online exploitation.
