To drive digital transformation, organizations must go beyond upgrading technical infrastructure. They need to establish new organizational processes and enhance their staff’s digital skills. UNESCO’s partnership with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) is a prime example of this approach. The collaboration aimed to identify existing organizational gaps and provide support through targeted trainings.
The UNESCO framework outlines key AI and digital transformation competencies for the public sector, including data use and governance, digital planning, and execution. To align with this framework, contextualization workshops were held for RDB’s senior management.
