The EU and the U.S. agreed to a new Data Privacy Framework, allowing more effortless consumer data transfer from the EU to U.S. servers. This news came on the heels of a $1.3 billion fine against Meta after the Irish Data Protection Commission found Facebook’s parent company to have violated data transfer regulations.
