The African Government aims to transform the agriculture sector, which contributes 60% of employment, by launching the MADE Alliance, a $300 million initiative to digitally empower farmers. This program seeks to provide 100 million people with access to digital services, starting with 3 million farmers in Kenya, Tanzania, and Nigeria. Farmers will receive digital credentials to access critical inputs and services.
By digitizing agriculture, the government enables farmers to access financial services, buyers, and markets, reducing inefficiencies and improving resilience. Partnerships with private entities and government support are key to scaling the program across Africa.
