In a proactive move to adapt to the evolving landscape of cybersecurity, the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) has initiated a public consultation on the proposed Cybersecurity (Amendment) Bill. Extending until 15 January 2024, this engagement aims to gather feedback and perspectives from various stakeholders to refine and enhance Singapore’s cybersecurity laws.
The existing Cybersecurity Act of 2018 serves as the foundational legal framework overseeing national cybersecurity. Recognising the dynamic shifts in technology and business practices, the proposed amendment addresses the changing nature of cyber threats and the increased reliance on digital platforms.
