AWS Singapore Expansion: $12B Investment

The Singapore government collaborates with AWS to drive digital transformation, with AWS announcing a S$12 billion investment in cloud infrastructure by 2028. This initiative aims to meet growing demand for cloud services and contribute to Singapore’s GDP, creating over 12,000 jobs yearly. AWS launches the AWS AI Spring program to train 5,000 individuals annually from 2024-2026, aligning with Singapore’s goal to triple its pool of AI talent.

 Partnerships with organizations like IMDA and ITE focus on upskilling the workforce in AI, fostering innovation and digital readiness in Singapore’s economy. Through initiatives like AI Spring Public Sector and AI Spring Enterprise, AWS supports the government’s National AI Strategy 2.0, driving AI adoption and enhancing citizen services.
