Casablanca Smart City Initiative

The inaugural day of Casablanca Smart City 2024, organized by Casablanca Events & Animation, emphasized citizen engagement and sustainable urban development. UN-HABITAT led a workshop on human-centric smart cities, stressing digital tools for citizen participation in urban planning.

The event highlighted the role of e-governance and participatory planning in resilient metropolises, showcasing best practices and addressing challenges. Another discussion focused on citizen involvement in managing urban resources like water and energy, using digital solutions for sustainable outcomes. This approach aims to foster inclusive decision-making and implement concrete solutions to urban challenges, paving the way for sustainable and resilient cities.
