China’s Digital Growth

The Chinese government has advanced digital development with the Guiyang big data exchange, achieving over 5.4 billion yuan in transactions since its launch. The exchange supports trading in data, computing power, and algorithms, contributing significantly to Guizhou province’s economic growth.

As China’s first national big data pilot zone, Guizhou’s digital economy now accounts for 42% of its GDP, with the government aiming for further expansion. The province’s digital infrastructure and numerous data centers are central to its strategy of integrating digital technologies with traditional industries for enhanced productivity.
