The Hong Kong’s top privacy watchdog ‘Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data’ raided local Worldcoin offices, after the court orders were issued earlier. In particular, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner was concern about the Worldcoin’s practices of iris scan and collection of the biometric data.
The Office also said it acknowledged that ‘the project may have breached relevant regulations in collecting and handling sensitive personal data.’ Data protection office called upon citizens to not partake into this operation.
