Côte d’Ivoire’s Digital Economy

Ibrahim Kalil Konaté, Minister of Digital Transition and Digitization of Côte d’Ivoire, presented the flagship projects of his department for the year 2024. During the ceremony of presentation of wishes within the ministry.

Mr. Konaté estimates that the digital transformation of the economy should lead to an increase in Côte d’Ivoire’s GDP by 6 to 7 points and generate between 2,000 and 3,500 billion FCFA. For its part, the World Bank estimates that the digital economy will bring more than $5.5 billion to Côte d’Ivoire by 2025 and more than $20 billion by 2050, if the government and the private sector strengthen their investments in the five fundamental pillars of the digital economy.
