Denmark’s Government Digitalization Strategy

The Danish Government (Regeringen) announced an agreement on Denmark’s new digitalization strategy. In particular, the Regeringen stated that all parties in the Parliament (Folketing) agreed to spend DKK 740 million (approx. $107 million) to invest in digitization in both the public and private sectors.

The strategy has 29 initiatives within artificial intelligence (AI), the green transition, digital education among children and young people, boosting digital skills, and the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises. Within the field of AI, the strategy lays down that a total of DKK 61 million will be set aside in the period 2024 to 2027 for the implementation of a framework for developing and using AI solutions.
