Egypt is preparing laws to regulate artificial intelligence and data exchange, focusing on enhancing cooperation in digital transformation and developing digital infrastructure. The country aims to create a robust legislative framework for governing communications and information technology. This effort is part of Egypt’s digital transformation strategy, which includes improving sector performance through technology and digitizing government services.
Egypt’s digital transformation efforts have already shown significant results, with a 41% increase in telecom subscriptions and improved services in rural areas. The installation of fibre optic networks in 766 villages and the addition of 1,277 mobile network towers have also enhanced connectivity. These initiatives align with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the National Climate Change Strategy. The country’s focus on digital transformation is expected to drive sustainable growth and development.
