Ethiopia’s Digital Government Strategy aims to digitize and modernize public administration, foster job creation, and improve relationships between citizens and institutions. The EU-funded project, set to conclude in February 2025, has received guidance from DT Global. A key focus area is the development of the EthioConnect national data exchange platform, enabling connected government-wide back-office systems and public e-services.
The Digital Government Strategy requires funding of around 100 million euros, with adequate funding remaining a significant challenge. To address this, the DT-Global team is assisting in mobilizing resources by drafting project funding proposals. A whole-of-government and whole-of-nation approach is crucial for the strategy’s success, ensuring national ownership and participation. This collaborative effort will drive the country’s digital transformation forward.
