EU Advances Digital Wallets

The EU Government has tasked ENISA with developing a cybersecurity certification scheme for EU Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallets to ensure secure, privacy-compliant digital identities across Member States. This initiative is part of the EU’s broader effort to enhance digital security through harmonized certification standards under the Cybersecurity Act.

By establishing digital security protocols, the government seeks to strengthen citizens’ cybersecurity and privacy. The project will support national certification schemes, and digital wallets will enhance the EU’s digital infrastructure, ensuring secure digital identity use across the region.
