DESCRIPTION:The conference provides an important opportunity for all the key players in the environment sector to come together for a day of discussion and networking. Alongside visiting experts\, the Northern Ireland Environment Forum will be addressed by the key people in Northern Ireland’s environmental policy landscape. \nNorthern Ireland’s first Climate Action Plan is currently being developed which will cover the period 2023 to 2027. This is part of the draft Green Growth Strategy\, which is a long-term vision balancing climate\, environment\, and the economy. The Climate Action Plan will set out how we intend to achieve the carbon budget for this period and the overall emissions reduction targets as stated in the Climate Change Act (Northern Ireland) 2022.
