Expanding Digital ID Systems

Half of the 2024 operational commitments made by the U.S.’ top transportation security agency involves digital identity. Officials with the Transportation Security Administration have published their four-part action plan for the year.

It includes expanding its mobile driver’s license pilot and the use of facial recognition in airports. They say they will increase from seven to nine the number of states participating in a pilot program designed to test the use of mobile driver’s licenses and digital IDs at TSA stations.
