France now has 25 universities in the top 1,000, with 18 in the top 500, reflecting increased international recognition of French academic standards.
This digital-driven progress has positioned France as the third most-represented country in the top 20. The government’s focus on research and digital transformation has attracted more international students, boosting the global standing of French universities.
