FTC Probes Microsoft Cloud

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has intensified its antitrust investigation into Microsoft, focusing on the company’s cloud computing, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence businesses.

The investigation centers on Microsoft’s practices in bundling popular software such as Office productivity tools and Teams with its Azure cloud services. Additionally, the FTC is examining Microsoft’s cybersecurity offerings, including the integration of products like Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), which competitors claim stifles innovation by tying services to the company’s cloud platform.
