India Enhances Healthcare Register

The Union government is planning to launch a central register for allied and healthcare professionals soon, aiming to create a comprehensive digital repository of qualified personnel across the country. This digital platform will streamline workforce management, offering real-time access to healthcare data, ensuring transparency, and maintaining high standards of education and services.

The National Commission of Allied and Healthcare Professionals (NCAHP) Act, 2021, enforced by the Supreme Court, mandates central and state governments to implement this by October 2024. The digital role is crucial in standardizing qualifications and improving healthcare service delivery through a secure, centralized system.
