Indonesia’s Digital Economy

Indonesia is emerging as a leading player in the digital economy in Asia, according to Tourism and Creative Economy Minister.

A study by Google, Temasek, and Bain & Company projected that Indonesia’s digital economy would reach $77 billion in 2022, growing by 22% from the previous year. The study also indicated that this number is expected to double to $130 billion by 2025. The growth of Indonesia’s digital economy has been largely driven by e-commerce.
