The Indonesian Government aims to significantly boost its digital economy by 2030, guided by the Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA) and various strategic initiatives. The plan includes enhancing cross-border e-commerce, digital identity systems, and electronic payments while fostering secure cyberspace.
These measures are designed to increase Indonesia’s digital economy from USD 360 billion to USD 600 billion and to raise the sector’s contribution to GDP from below 10% to 20% by 2045. Collaborative efforts with financial institutions and industry players are crucial for achieving these digital growth targets and financial inclusion goals.
