Indonesia’s Smart Governance

The Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas has detailed a roadmap for implementing a “Smart Government” system in Indonesia’s future capital, Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN). 

Minister Azwar highlighted that the transition strategy isn’t just about moving personnel but is deeply integrated with advanced digital practices designed to foster a more efficient and modern governance environment. The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform in Indonesia (PANRB) has meticulously developed a comprehensive relocation plan for ASNs to IKN, which begins with implementing a scaled-down model of government operations.
