The Government of Karnataka’s Cyber Security Policy 2024 aims to address the growing issue of cybercrime by enhancing the state’s IT infrastructure and security measures. The policy introduces a Security Operation Centre (SOC) to monitor critical government IT projects continuously and supports both immediate threat management and long-term cyber-security ecosystem development.
It includes approximately Rs 103.87 crore funding over five years for cybersecurity initiatives, research, start-up incentives, and partnerships for training 40,000 cybersecurity professionals. This comprehensive strategy emphasizes the importance of proactive cyber defense and investment in future workforce capabilities, setting a model for robust digital security measures.
