Pakistan Blocks Fraudulent SIMs

The Pakistan Government, in collaboration with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and NADRA, is blocking SIM cards linked to invalid or fraudulent digital ID cards. This move is part of a broader effort to enhance digital security and curb fraud in mobile account registration.

Citizens with blocked SIMs must obtain a new digital ID card and undergo biometric verification to restore services. The government is also targeting SIMs registered to deceased individuals, further reinforcing its commitment to digital integrity and secure identity management.
