Pakistan Government Advances Transport and Energy Projects

The Pakistan government is enhancing Karachi’s public transport with plans to introduce 500 electric buses, alongside 300 diesel-hybrid buses for intercity transportation. These digital solutions aim to modernize the fleet, reduce congestion, and improve environmental impact. The government is also advancing water recycling initiatives to supply industrial-grade water, supporting the city’s industries.

In energy, the Pakistan government is preparing a coal gasification project to convert coal to synthetic gas, addressing the gas shortfall. Additionally, digital agricultural technologies, including IoT and UAVs, are being explored to improve crop management in water-scarce regions.
