Pakistan Government’s Livestock Monitoring

The Pakistan Government is advancing livestock farming through digital solutions such as IoT technologies. In an experimental trial, wearable sensors with LP-GPS and SigFox systems were used to monitor animals in remote grazing areas. Data collected from these devices was analyzed using GIS software, offering insights into animal movement and territorial usage.

This digital initiative, supported by the Pakistan Government, enhances livestock management and helps address environmental challenges like soil erosion. The technology promotes sustainable farming practices, aligning with the government’s efforts to modernize agriculture.
