The Pakistan government is set to launch its first AI policy aimed at strengthening cybersecurity and preventing data breaches through real-time threat detection and response. This policy, combined with the deployment of digital public infrastructure, will help advance Pakistan’s digital economy, supporting the vision of “Digital Pakistan” and improving the country’s ranking in the Global Cybersecurity Index.
The government is also enhancing digital infrastructure through the establishment of sectoral CERTs, improving coordination in cybersecurity efforts across sectors. The AI policy is expected to foster collaboration between industry, academia, and government for nationwide digital transformation.
