Pakistan’s ESG Digital Transformation

The government of Pakistan has launched new Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Disclosure Guidelines through the SECP, emphasizing digital transparency and governance for listed companies. These guidelines encourage businesses to use digital platforms for reporting their ESG impacts, aligning with updated International Financial Reporting Standards.

By mandating anti-harassment policies and sustainability committees, the government aims to strengthen corporate governance and promote ethical practices. This digital approach supports a more transparent and responsible corporate sector, with the potential to attract foreign investment and improve stakeholder relationships.
