Robodogs Navigating Challenging Environments

Researchers at Stanford University and Shanghai Qi Zhi Institute have developed a new vision-based algorithm that enables robodogs to navigate and overcome various physical obstacles.

These robodogs are equipped with the algorithm, which serves as their autonomous brain, allowing them to assess challenges and utilize a range of agility skills to overcome them. In highly challenging environments, the upgraded robodogs proved their agility and problem-solving abilities. the researchers aim to incorporate real-world data into their simulated environments, leveraging advancements in 3D vision and graphics.
