According to goals set by the European Commission and Slovenia as part of digital transformation of enterprises, by 2030, 75% of enterprises with 10 or more employees and self-employed should use cloud computing services (i.e. purchase sophisticated or intermediate cloud computing services), use artificial intelligence technologies and perform data analytics (analyse big data).
In Slovenia, the number of enterprises of this size is increasing – in 2023, there were 8,576 enterprises of such size, or 5% more than in 2022 and 11% more than in 2021. Compared to 2021, the number of enterprises in manufacturing activities went up by 12% and in service activities by 10%.
